Financial Partnership Officer
|
Company Description:
Partnership for Compassionate Use Therapies (PCUT) is a newly incorporated non-profit company. PCUT's objective is to achieve access for sufferers of life-threatening diseases to cutting edge developmental therapies that could save or extend their lives. Through cost-plus partnerships with laboratories, pharma/biotech patent holders, professional service providers, and through charitable partnerships and a private co-investment sidepocket, PCUT intends to arrange drug production to meet the needs of underserved patient populations. If successful, PCUT will be the fourth non-profit drug production company in the world.
Job Description:
The Financial Partnership Officer will lead PCUT’s charitable fundraising campaign to support the non-profit manufacture of developmental drugs. The officer will design and rapidly implement a strategy that builds productive relationships with large foundations, family offices, research institutions, and government granting agencies. The initial target is $10m over 12 months, with the potential for another $20m– 30m if the private sidepocket is added. Responsibilities will include grant proposal writing and direct presentations before program boards. The work may also include raising private capital for a subsequent co-investment vehicle.
Desired Background:
This is currently a volunteer job, but it may evolve into a salaried position as the organization’s budget grows. Alternatively, compensation may come in the form of shared management fee if the investment sidepocket is profitable. The ideal profile of the officer includes significant experience raising capital for private investment vehicles. Non-profit experience and grant-writing skills are also a plus. The job would suit somebody who is personally connected to the issues of fighting terminal illness and who is ready to commit their passion to our cause.
Past exposure to biotech & healthcare industries is a plus, but not required.
